Pelvic & Hip Stabilization - Patient          Reminder Exercises Part 1

New Patient Exercise Advice - Sheet Uploaded 26/12/2014

Click above link to go to document.

This part of your program is geared toward improving the function and strength of the pelvis and hip regions which will address faulty movement patterns and will help your posture.

Lower back, hip, knee and ankle problems can be affected by inefficient pelvic and/or hip stabilization.

The body works as a unit and when certain body regions are inefficient, it will find a way to make the movement happen using other muscles or joints in a way that it was not designed to do (we have discussed this under coping strategies).

Please allow us to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a healthy & prosperous New Year

Merry Christmas To You All

Samsung American Fridge Freezer American Fridge Freezer

It is not often these days that we can praise companies for their service but we thought it worth relating our positive experience with appliances online at http://ao.com/

We ordered a much needed fridge freezer on Thursday lunchtime which was delivered before Chris came to work on Friday morning.

The delivery guys couldn't fit the unit through the kitchen door, but no trouble, they dismantled the fridge doors, got the appliance through and re fitted the doors, great service!

Had cause to e-mail customer services over a small issue which they speedily resolved in a most generous manner.

When the fridge or the freezer needs replacing in the clinic I now know where to go!

Well done AO.

Young Gun Jack Shepherd unexpectedly qualifies for the European Championships

British Sailing Jack Shepherd – Welsh & GB Dinghy sailor

Congratulations go to Jack who unexpectedly qualified for the European Championships set for the beginning of July.

Jack has made rapid progress in a complex, and sometimes frustrating, sport - being weather dependent, it takes time to gain experience across the variety of sailing conditions the UK has to offer.

Moving from the junior “Topper” class to the Olympic “Laser” class of boat last Autumn, Jack now competes against experienced adults and even Olympians.

To be ranked in the top half of the UK Laser sailors and qualify for the European Championships during his first season is no mean feat.

During  the remainder of 2014 Jack will also compete in  the UK Laser National Championships in Scotland over the summer, and has 3 more UK qualifier events in the Autumn with a view to squad selections for winter training.

He will also continue to compete at regional events and at his home club on Llyn Brenig reservoir, North Wales.

This year looks as though it is going to be tough for Jack as he is also expected to fit in his GCE revision as well as his hectic schedual of training and competition, all at the clinic wish him the very best and will continue to support him as best we can.

Future Hermes meetings to start at 8.00pm

Many of our exercise & fitness professionals have struggled to make meeting due to other commitments.

In order to help, future Hermes meeting will start at 8.00pm.
